Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a longtime style professional with a profound enthusiasm for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.

Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the privilege of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. There’s something endlessly fascinating about Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.

Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!

Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (and shared them first in this post!), and got tons of questions from you guys ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also worn them enough now that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

So I’m answering a bunch of common questions, as well as how to grab them for less, just ahead! Where did you end up buying them?

I found mine on sale via Cettire and snagged them that way!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were shipped to me by April 30th, so the shipping was super fast .

What’s the cost?

I snagged a pair for $385.43, though they usually retail for around $513.91.

Golden Goose sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how customized they are.

How is the fit?

I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.

They haven’t stretched at all, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up

How comfy are they?

They felt good right away. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since my feet get sweaty. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.

How do they perform over time?

Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How do they compare to other sneakers?

These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Next-level.

Would you buy again?

Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

Where can I find them on sale?

Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.

Where did you get them?

I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.

I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .

How expensive are they?

Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

Are they true to size?

Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

Are they comfortable?

They only needed minimal break-in time.

How durable are they?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched.

Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
